Our methods

It wouldn't make sense to us to utilize natural and intentional methods of caring for our sheep and the land they graze and then turn around and use chemicals in the processing of their skins and skulls.

We utilize traditional methods of tanning using bark from the mimosa tree (Acacia Miernsii), citric acid (derived from citrus) salt, eggs, olive oil and castle soap. The skins we tan mostly come from sheep we raised or sheep we dispatch and process for others. We take care to utilize all parts which motivated us to learn to humanely slaughter and process the animals onsite where they live so they have a calm end. We follow humane slaughter protocols ensuring they aren't stressed in their final moments. Our process for hide tanning is a hands on process and each of our skins have many hours of careful craftsmanship and work put into them. We are really proud of our work and intend to put beautiful quality goods into the world.
